Bangalore Derby Weekend, July 16, 2022

Race1:Win My Love(2)/Casey(4)

Win My Love competed against considerably better horses and is well placed on scales. The jockey switch is definitely a positive. She is moving fluently in the morning tracks and is expected to finish strongly. Casey ran well after a layoff and is the set's dark horse, with the potential to upset.

Race2:Measure of Time(1)/Shubhankar(6)

Measure of Time ran well in her return to the track over a mile, finishing second, and is moving well in the latest trials. The jockey keeps the ride, and the increase in distance should benefit her. Shubhankar is a course and distance winner who recently lost to a good horse. Interesting jockey change, and he is the one to watch.

Capriati is a half sister to Admirality, Captain Morgan, and Consigliori, and has been very well prepared. She is ridden by the top jockey and she should run well in her first race. Montelena should outperform her previous performance now that she has a race under her belt.

Race4:Forseti(5)/Imperial Blue(4)

Forseti ran like a cheetah in his last run to beat Delmar and has the potential to perform well in this set. The jockey keeps the mount and is racing from a good draw. A bold performance is expected. Imperial Blue was hampered in his previous run as a favourite. He has a better draw this time and can return to form.

Race5:Pride's Angel(4)/Kensington Court(8)

Pride's Angel had a strong first run at this track and is cruising in the morning trials. The jockey keeps the ride, and she has the speed and style to take on this set. Kensington Court is quick and running at a low weight, so she has a chance in this set.

Race6:Crown Consort(5)/Faith(1)

Crown Consort is in great shape, and a drop in the distance should be ideal. The jockey keeps the ride and should do well. Ignore the last run of faith because she lost her shoe. As per the pace angle, this race may favour her running style.

Race7:Mark One(10)/Princess Jasmine(6)

Ignore the latest runs of Mark One as she was hampered badly. She is sporting blinkers for the first time and that should favour her return to form. Princess Jasmine galloped alongside some speedy horses and has the potential to surprise in this set.

Race8:Super Ruffian(6)/Sea Blush(8)

Super Ruffian is moving well in the tracks and has the potential to upset in this mediocre set. Sea blush might run well based on her recent form

Race9:Striking Memory(2)/Toronero(7)

Striking Memory has found form and ran a good race over six furlongs. He should do well in this company. Toronero has the potential to improve and is one to keep an eye on.
