Mysore Racing Selections, July 27th 2022

Race1:D Lord(5)

The gelding is a non-winner promotee carrying the lightest weight in this set and racing over ten furlongs. He ran well on this track in his debut and has the potential to stay. The jockey assigned is competent and has a decent strike rate at this track.

After a long layoff, he finished third behind Ashwa Magadheera over the same distance in better company. He will undoubtedly improve and may even win in this set.

Race3:Festive star(1)/Swiss Bay(10)

Festive Star is a consistent performer who was unfortunate to be hampered last time. The increase in distance to a mile will likely benefit her, and the jockey booking is a plus. Swiss Bay been knocking on the door for a long time and deserves to win. The jockey change is a good indicator, and he can surprise if tried.

Race4:Spiritual Force(6)

He is well placed on the scales in this company and can surprise.

Race5:Sir Calculus(8)

He ran well to beat Kalahari Gold over six furlongs, and the increase in distance may be ideal. He's coming from a wide draw, but that shouldn't be a problem with a strong rider onboard.

Race6:Sea Lion(9)/Make My Way(1)

Sea Lion is a promising gelding with the best record in this company. He's making his debut at this track, and the distance should suit him perfectly. Make my way should have no trouble carrying the top weight and is running at his ideal trip.

Race7:Gold Crest(3)

She ran with better horses and has the potential to excel in this company.

Race8:Like My Daddy(9)

He is a failed favourite who is in good enough shape to perform well in this set.
